DoBur Center is a mixed use facility, with a focus on providing housing for a variety of incomes. The street level contains a variety of retail offerings, with each space designed to focus on daylighting. The retail establishments also ensure that on colder days, residents do not need to leave the building if they prefer for getting essentials.

The upper four levels provide housing for high, middle and lower incomes. Housing is interspersed across income levels to enable a sense of community that is usually difficult across income levels.

As a community space, the center area between the two buildings functions as a courtyard and walkway. Natural plantings ensure that people traversing the site stay on designated paths, while also allowing residents to spend quality time outdoors on nicer days with family or friends.
